New fisheries management groups for UK shellfish
New fisheries management groups for UK shellfish have been established via the Shellfish Industry Advisory Group (SIAG) to focus on sustainability leadership for shellfish fisheries around the UK. The groups provide a forum for the shellfish industry, regulators & the research community to work together to improve the management of these important resources and to increase the value they provide. Macduff is pleased to be involved and play an active role in all the groups with Macduff’s Head of Sustainability & Science, Claire Pescod taking on the role of Chair of the Crab Management Group.
