Wild caught shellfish processor Macduff Shellfish, which was bought by Canadian-based Clearwater Seafoods in a £98.4m deal last year, has appointed a former Marine Management Organisation executive to harness its sustainability commitments.
Macduff Shellfish Group (“Macduff”), one of Europe’s leading wild caught shellfish processors, has entered into an agreement for 100% of the assets of Macduff to be acquired by Canadian-based Clearwater Seafoods (“Cleawater”) for £98.4m from the Beaton family and Change Capital Partners, the specialist pan-European private equity fund.
Europe’s largest wild caught shellfish processor, Macduff Shellfish, today announced it has acquired a shellfish trading business and four scallop fishing vessels from Exeter based The Greendale Group, for an undisclosed sum.
