The Beaton Family
The first John Beaton started trading in white fish in the 1880s. The company thrived and moved into lobsters and shellfish, as succeeding generations took the business forward. In the 1980s we started to process and export langoustine in the coastal town of Macduff, from where we took our name, but we soon outgrew the site and moved to a new plant in Mintlaw in 1996.
The Beaton family is still very much involved in Macduff, with Euan acting as Chairman, and Paul and Fergus on the Board of Directors.
