New Langoustine Processing Factory
Macduff has recently opened a newly built langoustine processing factory on Goat Island, situated next to nearby Stornoway. This project was undertaken in conjunction with the Stornoway Port Authority. The factory’s location - five minutes’ drive away from Stornoway harbour - results in the langoustines arriving in the freshest possible state. State-of the art equipment results in the langoustines being processed and packed in a very short period of time. From there, they are shipped back to the mainland and transported to their end destination.
